Promoting the Cloth Diaper Industry

2011 RDIA Cloth Diaper Business Conference

CPSIA: What It Is, and What It Is Not
Tuesday, September 27, 2:15 – 3:30PM

We will recap what CPSIA is and what it requires of us as retailers, manufacturers, and diaper services.

With new ammendments to the law and requirements changing over time, there can be a great deal of uncertainty. We will address this slowly and carefully with plenty of time for quesitons (and even a guessing game!)

Topics will include defining and understanding the CPSC, CPSIA, children’s products, phthalates, lead, third-party testing, small batch criteria, and tracking.

We will talk about dates that matter and why they matter; discuss progress made and give a few thank yous for those who have helped tremendously. We will also look at where we stand right now; and where we are going.

Before opening for general questions, we will talk about the responsibilities we have within our own business type. There is a little something for everyone so come listen, learn, share and ask. Together we can understand compliance.
