RDIA Goals for 2010

The following goals were recommended by members and accepted by the RDIA board of directors for completion during 2010.  Members also voted at the annual meetings in September 2009 on projects to develop for further goals.  These will be added as accepted.

  • Cloth Diapers in Daycare - Distribute educational materials on cloth diapers for daycare facilities and help parents find cloth diaper friendly daycare.

  • Retailer Certification - Create a certification program for cloth diaper retailers.

  • Research Standards - Write industry standards for cloth diaper research.

Goals for 2009

Manufacturers and Retailers set 2009 goals at the annual meetings in September 2008.

  • Website - Build website for members, including member login, communications through email and forum, discussion for working groups and committees, and public information.

  • Awareness Campaign - Create cloth diaper public awareness campaign that will begin to raise the profile of reusable diapers.

  • Negotiated Discounts - Negotiate group discounts for members.  Potential areas include merchant accounts, insurance (health, liability), shipping, legal programs, web design, SEO, and printing.

  • Training Program - Plan a business training and certification program for cloth diaper retailers.

  • FAQs - Write a list of basic frequently asked questions and common answers that can be used by members.

  • 2009 Annual Meeting - Plan and carry out the next annual meeting.
